Our Mission
The mission of Roots Artist Registry is to support the arts by connecting artists with the general pubic, art leaders, collectors, and other arts professionals.
We Support Underrepresented Artists
Roots Artist Registry strongly supports artists who self-identify in certain demographic groups known to be underrepresented in the arts within the United States. (Please see Heritage section below.) The registry is inclusive of all dedicated artists in the world, regardless of the artist's age, gender, heritage, race, ethnicity, cultural, or other identification.
Heritage and Demographic Group Listings
Most artists in Roots Artist Registry self-identify as belonging to one or more demographic groups known to be underrepresented in mainstream arts venues in the United States. These artists include those traditionally labeled as “minority artists” or “artists of color,” as well as woman/female artists. Artists listed in the registry are invited to self-identify for the convenience of visitors who may choose to search for them.
Free Public Access
Roots Artist Registry can be browsed at no cost by the general public, arts patrons, and arts professionals who wish to locate artists.
